Container Flower Gardening Ideas: Red Cordyline, Licorice Plants, Soprano Purple Osteospermum
We love
this display because it has a great variety of shapes. It's also an understated one, color-wise, for people who
don't enjoy busy, contrasting colors.
The tropical-looking spikes are Red Cordyline. If you want a slightly different
look, then there are lots of different colors of Cordyline, so don't be afraid to experiment with the tone of your
displays.
The pale silver green leaves are Lamb's
Ear. Be sure to avoid the flowering
varieties if you want to retain the look of the pictured display.
If you're not fixed on the idea of the
purple look, then Osteospermum is available in a ton of different colors,
including two-tone with a color and white. Try to choose a color which matches your chosen shade of Cordyline to
retain the style of the display.
Please write to us using the Comments link below if you have either tried
this arrangement, or have any questions about using these beautiful plants in containers.
